How To Market Your Affiliate Business in Malaysia
Affiliate SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) for your work at home business can be difficult if your opportunity is an affiliate site.Affiliate sites are not unique and they are difficult to market as you have no control over the key aspects required for SEO,namely Title, Content and keywords.
For example if you operate a home based shopping business you would hope that the keyword home based shopping or online shopping is included in the keywords.(many sites do not have meta tags)
The problem however is that the main site will always rank higher than any affiliate site for the keywords.
Pay Per Click (PPC) SEO
One short cut that work at home business owners take is to use pay per click and purchase top positions. Using pay per click such as Google Adwords allows you to bid on keywords and keyword phrases
Past studies have shown that PPC results in a 10% click through compared with "28% click through for sites that are ranked top by virtual of good content. There are companies that advertise affiliate SEO but they have litlle ideas about true SEO and use only PPC methods, in fact if you look a some of the sites, you will find meta tags for keyword and description missing.
Remember that if you are using PPC rather than pure SEO for you home based business it is costing you money but with a little effort and training you will be able to sell more.
Use a Gateway Page
Affiliate marketing business owners are best to create a gateway page where they have control full control of both the meta tags and contents of the page, The home based business own can introduce and explain their business in the way that is unique to them, targeting the keywords that they would need to bid for in PPC campaigns. Building your own page means you can also add items such as a subscription box to capture visitors information and then provide links to their work at home affiliate site.
Caution
Doorway or Gateway pages have been abused in the past by people making pages that only search engine spiders ever find or else by using hidden text, and keyword stuffing pages. The use of a page in this is unprofessional and can do more harm to your ranking rather than improve it. The best way to use affiliate seo methods. is to build a page as laid out here and then submit it to Google.
